Northumbrian Water has confirmed their support for the prestigious LGBTQ North East Awards 2020. One of the categories will also be named as in association with organisation, and we will be represented at the event, which takes place on May 15th, 2020.
The annual celebration of contributions made to the LGBTQ community in the North East is gearing up, as preparations are underway to launch nominations.
Businesses from across the region have backed the annual event, including Northumbrian Water, who will join as a category sponsor for the first time this year.
Alison Corner, Employee Engagement Manager at Northumbrian Water, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Volunteer of the Year award at this year’s North East LGBTQ Awards.
“Our communities are really important to us and Rainbow Foundation do some amazing work within the North East region to support the LGBTQ community, educate and raise awareness and improve inclusion, so we are proud to be involved and to support this great local charity.”

Nominations for this years award ceremony have now closed, with finalists being released shortly. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the date of the awards ceremony has changed. More information on this will be announced shortly.
